This Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive from Pliogrip is specially formulated structural epoxy adhesive with enhanced toughness, resilience and durability. GM approved and meets OEM specifications when replacing “factorybonded” structural components as required in collision repair procedures. The Pliogrip 5770 is a flexible purple epoxy use for quarter panels, rear body panels, as well as front frame rails, strut towers, and in conjunction with resistance spot welding. The flexibility allows the adhesive to be impact resistant, keeping airbags from deploying when they should not.
Apply to clean, abraded bare metal. Contains 10 mil beads for bond gap control. Purple color matches OEM adhesive. Open time is 90 minutes, work time is 120 minutes and clamp time is 10 hours. May be accelerated with heat.
