Try Blended Learning: Online Career Training for the Collision Industry

With collision repair positions expected to grow by more than 30,000 around the country by 2024*, it’s an excellent field to enter as a professional, skilled technician.  Collision repair’s combination of hands-on STEM skills and artistic expression gives you the perfect chance to blend your technical expertise and creativity.  The new Blended Learning programs at Lincoln Tech in Melrose Park, IL ; Denver, CO; and Indianapolis, IN give you the ideal platform to build these in-demand skills!

“Blended Learning programs – like Lincoln Tech’s enhanced Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology offering – give you the most convenient way to build a new career path.  You can complete a good portion of your coursework online from home while making the most of your time in our on-campus collision bays,” says Melrose Park Campus President Karen Clark.  “For students who work during the day or have other commitments, this program gives them the opportunity to pursue their career goals on a schedule that works for them.”

With the added flexibility, Clark notes, even busy students should still be able to complete the program and earn their credential in less than two years.**

New curriculum combines hands-on practice with online career training

The Melrose Park campus has provided one of the Chicago area’s most popular collision programs since 1969.  In just the past five years, Lincoln Tech has taken part in I-CAR industry conferences, seen one of their students take first place in a custom airbrushing competition, hosted a regional skills competition, and received a nitrogen welder from local legend Erie-LaSalle Body Shop.

Melrose Park was the first campus to launch the Blended Learning collision repair curriculum, and other campuses are following close behind.  The Denver campus, which began offering “auto body repair and paint” classes in 1963, and the Indianapolis campus – just a few miles from the home of the Indy 500 – now offer the program as well, meaning students from all over the country can choose from three exciting, vibrant cities to pursue collision repair career training in this hybrid format.

If you’re ready to turn your auto body skills and artistic talent into an exciting professional future, you can put the convenience of a blended online career training platform to work for you.  Start training at Lincoln Tech and get on the path to a one-of-a-kind career!
